It's time!

Colten has his Bone Marrow Transplant today, and as Erika blogged on his Caring Bridge sight, it was pretty uneventful. Now, it is just a matter of time before his body takes it in and makes him all good and healthy again.

Here is a picture of him though getting the new goods! As you can see, you don't have to be awake to get well.

It looks like a fantastic day for a walk tomorrow...please come out and support the Cowell's!

T -1 and the Countdown is Done

Just one quote for Colten as the actual transplant begins tomorrow and another step to being Victorious in the battle against his Leukemia is taken.

So, dear friends, please find staying power in your thoughts and prayers. Send them to the Cowell family as they take this next big leap so that Victory can soon be theirs!

T -2 Days and Horsing Around a Little

He is a champ, that is for sure! So in honor of the pony visit and medicine from the equine, here is today's quote.

T -3 days and No Words to Share

...today, no wise words to share...just a lots of love and hugs and prayers to be sent to the Cowell's in your own words.

Please say a little prayer for them, they seem to be working after getting some good news today! Shout it to the roof tops or say it quietly to yourself...just keep on doing it in your own words.

T -4 Days and slowly making his way

Colten is in day T -4 of Bone Marrow Transplant preparation. I gotta say he is one tough little man, to be put to sleep twice a day and still go strong. So today Colten, keep going slowly but surely along your path.

Lots of love to Dale and Erika, and the Cowell Clan too...slowly but surely you are loving him well again!

T -5 Days with an Attitude to Boot

T -6 Days while Climbing Mountains

Just a few more pebbles for the Cowell family until they reach the top of their mountain. Almost there!

T -7 days (Right?) Just for Erika

Okay, so here is the quote of the day for today, well actually two:

The second one is for the little man.."Why reach for the moon when you can reach for the stars?" I found that one on the internet, posted by another little kiddo fighting childhood cancer. Keep kickin' it Colten!

Colten is doing well in Tucson and is on day -8 to Bone Marrow Transplant, so in honor of that, there will be a new Inspirational Quote here everyday...something to keep us all Reaching. Reaching out to support the Cowell's from a far while Colten continues to be the strong little man we all know.

...but thank you, thank you, thank you to all who came out and scrub-a-dubbed cars, towel dried cars, vacuumed cars, held signs so we could wash cars, filled buckets so we could wash cars, sprayed cars, drove cars, moved cars....THANK YOU...to those who so GENEROUSLY donated $$$ to have the above done to their cars! We raised more than we could have dreamt about, more than we anticipated, certainly more than plenty to show how strong the faith of the human spirit can be.

Reminder, Reminder, Reminder!

Colten's Carwash is being held tomorrow, Sunday, October 4 at the Autozone off of Gilbert/Guadalupe. It is North of Guadalupe on the east side of Gilbert.

We will be there from 10-4 so please come by to support the family.

For those of you who are not checking in on Colten thru his Caring Bridge site (link to the left), the family is preparing to leave for Tucson tomorrow. After an attempt at a Bone Marrow Aspiration, the doctors feel it is best to start Colten on this next course of treatment quickly. Our love, prayers and support in anyway are needed now more than ever. Please, do what you can to support him and his family as they embark on this new journey.
